Castle Academy is a small, friendly school at the heart of Conisbrough. We’re proud to be a community-focused school where every child is welcomed, valued and supported to thrive.
By the time our pupils leave us at the end of Year 6, they do so as confident, kind and capable young people, ready for the next step in their journey. They understand how to look after both their physical and mental health and are proud of what they’ve achieved. Our approach is shaped by five core values: Scholarship, Curiosity, Tenacity, Aspiration and Empathy which guide how we learn, support each other and celebrate success.
Learning at Castle is about more than just academic results. We take a thoughtful, joined-up approach to caring for children and families, making sure everyone feels involved in school life. From the moment you join us, we aim to build strong relationships with both children and parents. Our experienced team includes pastoral staff and dedicated support for special educational needs, attendance, safeguarding and emotional wellbeing. We know that happy, healthy children learn best, so that’s always our priority.
Starting at a new school can be a big step, and we’re here to make that journey as smooth as possible. Before children join Castle, we’ll visit them in their current setting and invite them to get to know us during special welcome sessions.
We also offer exciting opportunities like Forest School, taking part in School Council and even travelling abroad. It’s all part of helping children grow in confidence, find their voice and feel part of something special.
